Job Summary

Reporting to the Director, Negotiations, the Analyst, Negotiations position is responsible for supporting the negotiations team including conducting research and analysis in the area of physician compensation with respect to contract negotiations, and assisting with operations of the Negotiations Task Force. The Senior Analyst is able to excel in a fast paced, rapidly evolving environment, and will have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and be able to maintain a good working relationship with OMA members, an OMA cross functional team, Ministry of Health officials and other healthcare stakeholders, as appropriate.

How You Will Make a Difference

• Supporting the preparation, onboarding and operations of the Negotiations Task Force and the negotiations team
• Participating in Negotiations Task Force internal and bilateral meetings, and other meetings as appropriate.
• Fostering strong relationships and communications with internal and external stakeholders, OMA members, health system stakeholders
• Responding to member inquiries
• Conducting research and analysis, and preparing documentation including briefing notes, memos, presentations and reports.
• Supporting project management and planning within tight timelines
• Monitoring issues and events of relevance to contract negotiations
• Delivering on special projects as assigned

Requirements That Are Important To Us

• Undergraduate degree in Health Administration, Economics, Business, Political Science or equivalent. Masters’ degree is an asset
• Three to five (3-5) years’ related work experience in policy development, analysis, and project management
• Applied knowledge and experience in Ontario’s health care sector is an asset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in fast paced environments where flexibility is required
• Detail oriented with a high proficiency in Word, Power Point, Excel
• Strong analytical, and critical thinking skills and ability
• Ability to build and manage relationships with both internal and external customers/stakeholders

The OMA has moved to a permanent hybrid work environment. As such, the individual in this position will be required to work a minimum number of days in our Toronto office.
