Forklift Operator
PeopleReady of Calgary, AB is now hiring Forklift Operators! We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Forklift Operator to join our customers dynamic team. The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts in a cross-dock setting, loading and unloading trailers in a cooler environment. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our facility.

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $18 – $20 /hour
What you’ll be doing as a Forklift Operator :
Safely operate forklifts to move goods in and out of trailers.
Load and unload trailers with a focus on minimizing damage and ensuring accurate shipments.
Follow standard operating procedures and adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
Conduct daily inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance issues immediately.
Keep the work environment clean and organized, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.
Keep track of inventory and update relevant logs and computer systems as required.
Operate within the constraints of a cooler environment, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Job requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift certification.
At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
Familiarity with working in a cooler environment is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Valid forklift certification required
