We are looking for an accounts payable Associate to join our collaborative finance department. Reporting to the chief financial officer, this role is to assist with various functions and is accountable for accurate and timely recording of vendor invoices and corporate expenses, while creating and maintaining positive vendor relationships

Principle Responsibilities

• Code and input vendor invoices
• Reconcile monthly supplier statements
• Communicate with suppliers regarding outstanding payments
• Resolve invoice issues with suppliers and/or branches
• Maintain the Goods Received not Invoiced (GRNI) to under 30 days
• File invoices, leases, and asset documentation
• Prepare cheques/wires payments/on-line bill payments
• Prioritize payment release
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and branches

Required knowledge and training

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Post-Secondary Accounting Certificate/Diploma
• 2-3 years Accounts Payable experience, in a medium to large corporation and/or in a multi-company environment)
• Exceptional data entry skills
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast faced environment
• Excellent ERP and Microsoft Office Suite skills
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
