What will you do as an Packer?
The Packer is responsible for packing items accurately, moving them to stock putaway shelves, and preparing orders for shipping to ensure timely and accurate flow of materials. The Packer also provides back up support to a variety of different functions such as Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Management.
Follows work instructions and pack finished products into boxes, attach labels and seal. Conducts final visual inspection of product and properly packs orders, including proper labeling, to ensure safe delivery to customers.
Sorting packed items on the stock putaway shelves in an orderly manner, to enable the first in first out process.
Assists Shipping by picking items for sales orders when needed.
Acts as a back-up to Shipper/Receiving, Production &/or Inventory Control, when needed.
Proactively contributes to and implements continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintains warehouse and inventory area in clean and orderly fashion.
Adheres to LMI Employee Policy Manual.
Other duties as required.
What do you need to be successful?
High school graduate with some technical post secondary training or experience.
Minimum of 1+ years working in a packing position.
Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Able to handle heavy lifting (15-20 kg) of boxes.
Skills of Value:
Experience in packaging.
Knowledge of RF Smart, Netsuite and Google Suite
Knowledge and experience of using carrier shipping software.
Experience working in the electronics industry.
BC/CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY | Salary Range: $38,462 – $43,000 – $48,074
Expected Salary: Our typical hiring range will be +/- 10% of the midpoint listed above. Factors influencing this decision include qualifications and market conditions for the role.
