King George Nissan and Midway Mazda are family owned and operated car dealerships that have been serving the South Surrey and White Rock area under the same ownership for the past 30 years.
We are looking for a long term, dedicated, and experienced person to join our team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage all day to day accounting activities for two new vehicle dealerships.
- Produce accurate monthly financial statements to the specifications, and on the timelines of Nissan Canada and Mazda Canada.
- Create, maintain, and monitor internal controls.
- Produce a monthly payroll with a mid-month advance using Payworks payroll software.
- Maintain employee files and produce ROEs and T4s as required.
- Directly manage accounting and reception staff.
- Coordinate with Sales and Service Department managers to solve problems and improve processes.
- Coordinate year end activities in conjunction with external accountants.
Qualifications:
- 2 years experience in automotive, new vehicle dealership accounting
- 1 year experience in a management role.
- 1 year experience with CDK/ADP accounting software would be an asset.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proven ability to work well in a team environment as well as ability to self-motivate to finish tasks on or ahead of schedule.
- Knowledge of BC Labour standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency with MS office, and other common software.
