The Dufresne Group is currently seeking an Inbound Logistics Manager for our Inbound Logistics Team within our Home Office located at 147 Commerce Drive in Winnipeg, MB.
As an Inbound Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for conducting analysis, executing projects, and ultimately manage The Dufresne Group/Dufresne Spencer Group Inbound Logistics networks and oversee the general operations of the Inbound Logistics Department.

As the Inbound Logistics Manager, you will:
Provide tactical execution of the department’s core functions by means of performance monitoring and in extreme cases, provide hands on support when required.
Maintain organizational readiness through training, delegation of owned core functions, and resource and performance management.
Define standards and expectations of team members to ultimately identify and drive action plan towards performance improvements (includes annual performance reviews).
Lead team in daily priority balancing of core functions and inspire team to high performance.
Identify and execute improvement plans related to department process and value offer.
Cast vision of department needs to execute based on growth plans and evolving tools/processes/systems.
Oversee the maintenance/changes to department standard operating procedures for Inbound Logistics.
Define standards and expectations of stakeholders and collaborate alignment for change implementation and/or execution improvement.
Drive network optimization with internal customers (stores, supply chain, purchasing, and distribution and transportation departments) and external transportation suppliers.
Develop department job descriptions (set expectations) and recruit for department positions with collaboration on final selection.
Execute the start to finish process for carrier selection, including cost/service negotiation.
Monitor carrier performance/compliance according to established standards and expectations and drive improvement plans where required.
Have comprehensive ownership of the Logistics financial statement which include managing the delta in vendor freight factors, business development to drive “for hire revenue”, and ultimately understand and drive Logistics Revenue.
Lead the resolution of conflict within department and with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Be responsible for accuracy and timeliness of the department month end reporting, which may or may not require direct involvement.
Oversee the accurate and timely production of department analytics and reporting which may or may not require direct involvement.
As a successful candidate you will have the following:
5 years experience in a logistics leadership role
University degree or designation in related area (degree in business/supply chain/logistics, P. Log, CCLP, C. Log)
High degree of analytical, communication, interpersonal skills, ability to adapt to a changing role and to self-manage.
Moderate to advanced working knowledge of MS Office products and ability to learn in-house computer programs
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
