Summary:
This position is responsible for leading supply chain improvement projects from End to End perspective, including identifying improvement opportunities, collecting data, analyzing process, comparing scenarios, proposing solutions, winning supports from stakeholders, and planning/implementing changes. To succeed in this position, together with fundamental business insights, strong skills/experiences in analytics, planning, communication, leadership, building consensus are critical.
Specific Responsibilities:
Well understand business operations from end-to-end perspective, particularly inbound transportation, DC operations, outbound transportation, and the link between supply chain and other departments;
Continuously identify and prioritize business improvement opportunities in business operations process for cost savings, service enhancements, or other business benefits;
Analyze and find root causes of business issues through creative problem-solving and solution design. Validate findings by broadly consulting business stakeholders;
Develop effective solution to leverage business opportunities or tackle issues with major stakeholders involved and impacts to each of them well considered;
Secure support from key stakeholders and leadership team for the proposed solutions;
Develop execution plan and lead through the execution. Achieve preset goals on time and within budget;
Track business impact of a project with KPI report and continuously improve project management process;
Take part in developing and implementing short-term and long-term logistics strategies;
Support other ad hoc projects.
Qualifications:
At least batcher degree in business administration, supply chain management, or engineering. MBA or CPA preferred;
Must have at least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain or related field in retail industry;
Strong business acumen, good sense about financial costs and benefits analysis;
Ability to model operational problems;
Proficient in supply chain software: WMS (EXE), TMS (JDA), ERP (SAP);
Advanced skills in Excel, Power Point, MS Project, and Access are required;
Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred;
Experience in introducing technology to Supply Chain is an asset;
Some travel may be required (Ontario and Quebec).
