We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate with an unwavering appreciation of, and commitment to, excellence in customer service and who has a keen interest in creating and collaborating. We are seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal skills, a demonstrated ability to excel in projects requiring teamwork and overall excellent verbal and written communications skills. Experience with 3D printers, laser cutters, sewing and embroidery machines, audio and video editing, would be an asset. The ideal candidate will be creative and embrace continuous learning and exploration.
This role will be responsible for the support of makerspace programs and events, as well as engaging the community through promoting learning, creation and discovery. This role will be tasked with the development and creation of a community wide library project to celebrate the Town of Caledon’s 50th Anniversary, and directly assisting customers in both of our makerspaces.
This position will primarily work out of the Margaret Dunn Valleywood and Caledon East branches. You will be required to regularly travel to other branches and locations within Caledon. A valid driver’s license and vehicle is mandatory. The position will report to the Supervisor, Community and Creation for Caledon Public Library.
