Job Description Our Woodbridge based client, an industry leader in miscellaneous metals, custom railing fabrication and other intricate architectural metalwork, is searching for a Site Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain excellent relationship with site superintendents & subs
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Scope of Work and budget for each project.
- Assist with establishing a strong project safety culture by administering safety manual and policies.
- Inspect and monitor contractual responsibilities with installation subcontractors.
- Visit various construction sites to take site dimensions.
- Record meeting minutes at various site coordination meetings.
- Coordination of drawings and details with clients.
- Action tracking and documentation control through Excel Spreadsheets.
- Assist Director of Misc. Metals in schedule development and tracking for fabrication and installation.
- Managing product inquiries and RFIs
- Prepare reports on job progress, problems and solutions.
- Monitor site progress including progress photos and report to Dir of Misc. Metals.
- Monitor and inspect finished site installations including progress photos
- AutoCAD knowledge is an asset.
- Site Inspections
- Documenting work progress
- Quality Control
- Report to site supers and coordinate work schedule
- Confirm material deliveries to site and pick up of surplus
- Get sign-offs for billable work
- Request P.O.’s for Extra to Contract work
- Health & Safety inspections
- Report Contract Completion Status
Job Requirements:
- Work hours 7:30am – 5pm
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience reading Architectural Drawings
- Valid driver’s license
- Possess relevant Safety Training Certificates
This position requires the employee to work in an office environment as well as site visits. Employee must be able to sit, stand for extended periods of time, and possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to work odd / extra hours to accommodate project deadlines if needed.
