Advisory Group Coordinator
Reporting to the Manager, Advisory Group & Infoline, the Advisory Group Coordinator is responsible for managing all relationships and communications with ASC’s Advisory Group of people with lived experience of dementia. The Advisory Group’s objective is to provide a voice and platform for people ASC needs to hear from most, with perspectives from people living with different types of dementia at different stages of their journey, and care partners including different family members and ages. The Advisory Group has a growing membership who engage in ASC’s core functions: dementia research, advocacy, fundraising, program development, and communication.
As part of their duties, the Advisory Group Coordinator will be easily accessible to all members of the Advisory Group, building and developing these relationships as a central point of contact, providing members with opportunities to work with ASC, and actively promoting and supporting the importance of engaging people with lived experience of dementia.
To be effective, the Advisory Group Coordinator must be considerate of the different needs of all people living with and supporting people with dementia, including those from diverse ethno-cultural communities, Indigenous peoples, and gender and sexual identities from all across Canada.
