Tasu Construction Looking for Construction Labourer at Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada Full Time

Job Description

Tasu Construction is looking for skilled labourers for the construction of camp and modular projects. This is a hands-on position that requires mature and responsible personnel.

The position will start with projects in Burnaby and Abbotsford, BC. Successful candidates could join our team on a permanent basis for future projects which will require travel to remote and regional locations across British Columbia, with rotation to be negotiated, based on point of hire and project specific needs. site Supervisor is responsible for creating and monitoring project momentum in conjunction with the predetermined schedule agreed with the senior construction team.

Responsibilities

• Daily responsibilities will vary and will include all aspects of construction of camp facility.
• Load and unload materials and move materials to designated work areas.
• Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties, working as a team.
• Constant attention and active participation in maintaining a strong safety culture around the site.
• Daily Job Hazard Analysis.
• Monitor inventory and notify supervisor when supplies are needed.
• Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans in a timely manner.
• Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
• Monitor equipment for any servicing requirements and bring to management’s attention.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and punctuality.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Sufficient physical strength, stamina and coordination to perform heavy manual outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Previous construction or labourer experience is an asset.
• Completion of basic First Aid, Fall Arrest, or Health and Safety Training preferred.
• Previous experience operating equipment is an asset (variable reach forklift and skid steer).
• Drug/ alcohol free.
• Organization, cleanliness and a professional attitude are a must.
• Strong decision making and delegation skills.
• Superior organization and time management skills.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Proving own hand tools is a bonus but not a requirement.

Wage: based on experience
