We are experiencing significant demand for our products and focused massively on the development and production of intelligent metering equipment and systems for energy and water consumption. Therefore, we are looking for a Regional Sales Manager Canada East to join the Kamstrup Water Division Sales Management Team to aid Kamstrup’s rapid growth in North America.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales North America, you will become part of the North American Sales Team in Water, who is responsible for New Project Sales, After Sales and Partner Sales in Canada. We aspire to make Kamstrup the preferred partner to customers for both electricity and water meters and support solutions. Your nearest team, New Project Sales, consists of dedicated colleagues who value an informal work environment based on openness, trust, and a great sense of humor.

In the position as Regional Sales Manager Canada East, you will play a crucial role in realizing our mission; to broaden the reach in new markets across Eastern Canada while maintaining a strong position in our existing markets. Your primary objective will be to secure new projects in new Canadian markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.
  • Developing positive relationships and handling customers’ needs.
  • Generating new sales (‘building a pipeline’) using existing and potential customer networks.
  • Managing sales activity to enhance company revenue, profitability, and market share in your assigned territory.
  • Meeting budgeted sales and cost goals.
  • Tracking sales goals and reporting results, as necessary.
  • Working with Marketing on lead generation.
  • Developing your target utility accounts through education, promoting a defined and unique differentiated solution, and customer guidance through the purchasing process.
  • Understand the marketplace and connect utility prospects to our differentiated products and services.
  • Manage relationships with potential partners participating in the solution.
  • Up to 50-60% travel is required within territory region.
  • Annual sales budget for the territory to be met and/or exceeded.
  • Monitor sales costs to meet budget expectations.
  • Build brand awareness through participation in local industry tradeshows and special events.

PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EDUCATION

  • Formulate strategies for maximizing Kamstrup’s sales potential.
  • Develop and implement account plans to maximize the value of the account.
  • Inquisitive nature with strong qualification skills needed to develop exceptional knowledge of the account and being well versed in the account’s problems, goals, needs and issues.
  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Build strong relationships with the account’s stakeholders.
  • Position Kamstrup for sales opportunities by influencing specifications.
  • Oversee the proposal development process ensuring proposals meet prospect’s key issues, needs and requirements.
  • Lead conflict resolution in a timely manner.
  • Report on the status of accounts and transactions.
  • Set and track sales account target activity (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
  • Facilitating contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate the efforts of the support teams that serve the account.
  • Good understanding of the water measurement market and the lengthy relationship-based nature of the sales process involved with utility providers.
  • Confident ability to have C-Suite conversations and provide well written executive summaries.
