Swissport Looking for Accounts Receivable – Cash Application Specialist at Montreal, Quebec, Canada Full Time

Status: Permanent, Full-time

Immediate Supervisor: AR Manager

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Payroll Manager, the incumbent of this position is responsible for contributing and supporting the payroll team, through timely and accurate data entry processing.

Job Responsibilities

• Daily processing of customer payments and postings to customer accounts.
• Post a high volume of cash receipts.
• Research and analyze credit card payments and apply them to customer accounts.
• Research and payment application of non-customer payments to general ledger accounts.
• Daily reconciliation of bank deposits with the general ledger.
• Research unidentified cash and liaise with business units for all unknown payments received.
• Escalate any unresolved issues to the AR Manager
• Communicate with the credit card provider for any credit card disputes.
• Assist in month-end closing and balancing of accounts receivable.
• Post all adjustments and cross-applications required for customer accounts as provided by the AR Manager.
• Prepare various spreadsheets, analyses, and reconciliations as required.
• Maintenance of records for auditing purposes.
• Prepare ad hoc reporting as needed.
• Support AR Manager in various other duties.
• Maintain communication with internal and external customers.
• Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its customers.

Qualifications And Competencies

• 1 year plus years of Accounts Receivable experience required.
• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate strengths in organizational, attention-to-detail, follow-through, sound reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
• Detailed-oriented with strong accounting skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft programs, including Outlook and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills (French & English)
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet month-end deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Focused on teamwork and collaboration.
