Reporting to the Controller, this role is responsible for the administration of accounts payable functions related to Lakeside Produce and Farm operations. The Accounts Payable administrator interacts with all areas of the organization, to ensure that supporting documentation for goods and services are received and matched to invoices to enable payment. Success in this role requires a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration, to maintain uninterrupted provision of goods and services that enable Lakeside Produce to deliver on our promise to customers.

Main Duties

• Match invoices, purchase orders and packing slips and enter accounts payables invoices in the system
• Review invoices and ensure supporting backup for payment processing
• Manage documentation flow for invoice approval and payment generation
• Maintain proper cost allocations
• Run payables payments
• Maintain listing of accounts payable
• Prepare manual cheques as and when required
• Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• 0 – 1 Year Experience with a Bachelors Degree OR 1 – 2 Years’ experience with a College Diploma OR 2+ years relative experience
• Specialization in Accounting and Finance
• Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, specifically in an accounting position – AP or AR
• Must have a strong working knowledge of MS Office, with advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V Look Ups, etc.)
• Produce experience an asset
