What Will I Be Doing in This Role?
Responsibilities
As a Senior Finance Business Partner at Valsoft / Aspire Software, you’ll be partnering with multiple companies/subsidiaries and will be responsible for:
- Financial Reporting:
- Preparation and review of financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets for each division.
- Ensuring that all financial information is accurate, consistent, and compliant with accounting principles and relevant regulations.
- Participating in the completion of audit engagements and compliance requirements.
- Participate in the IFRS transition.
- Monthly Close:
- Performing tasks for the monthly account closing, such as GL reconciliations, journal entry booking, analysis of the profit and loss statement, review of bank reconciliations, process improvements, and documentation of financial procedures.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conducting in-depth financial analysis, comparing actual performance against budgeted figures and providing variance analysis.
- Identifying financial trends, opportunities, and potential risks, enabling management to make informed decisions to improve divisional performance.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Developing and maintaining the annual budgeting process, including revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Collaborating with department heads to gather relevant data and assumptions.
- Regularly updating forecasts based on actual performance and market trends.
Who Are You?
- We are currently looking for candidates that have both accounting and FP&A experience (experience in a Big 4 firm preferred).
- You are CPA or in the process of obtaining it.
- You have knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- You have full professional working proficiency in English; French is not a must.
