Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant reports to the Director of Finance.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing daily collection controls covering stores and treasury
• Overview Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Bank reconciliations, store cash management.
• Treasury management
• Responsible for full cycle accounting process.
• Managing relations with the auditors.
• Participation in stimulating projects related to financial function to improve and modernize processes.
• HST and Tax preparation and payment

Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA Designation.
• Excellent English communication skills is a necessity (French is an asset).
• A minimum of 4 years experience as a Financial Analyst or Senior Accountant in an audit firm, mainly in an SMB environment.
• Strong organization and time management capabilities.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excel skills
• Experience in Sage 500 (asset)
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
