Wintel/AD Engineer team at Unit4’s Global IT Department thrives on providing the best services to our customers and employees. We are responsible for managing the corporate enterprise computing platforms, including but not limited to: Microsoft Azure, O365, Exchange, VMware and Windows.

The Wintel/AD Engineer should demonstrate a level of competency and be familiar with:

• 3+ years of experience working as IT System Administrator for Windows Servers
• Install, configure and maintain Active Directory and third-party software utilities for hardware systems within company operational guidelines.
• Design, implement and manage AD structure, including OUs, groups and user permissions.
• Create/maintain domain policies, trusts and certificates
• Maintain and monitor Windows Server Update Service (WSUS) implementation
• Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
• Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
• Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery everywhere possible.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all server resources, and key processes as it pertains to Active Directory.
• Ability to prioritize and work individually and as part of a team
• Strong troubleshooting skills including the ability to identify and resolve challenging situations
• Be able to think outside the box and develop creative solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding service and response time when working with customers and internal teams.

Nice to have:

• Microsoft certification is a plus.
• Experience with VMware and Hyper-V
• Experience in automating Windows systems through the use of Powershell or other related methods
• Previous experience with Microsoft Azure and/or willingness to learn this platform
• Knowledge of O365/Exchange.
• Knowledge of other areas and technologies: networking, Backups and Storage.
