Our client in York Region, ON is actively looking for an Accounting Clerk to join their team.

Title: Accounting Clerk

Location: York Region, ON

Job Type: Temporary

Hourly: $18.00 – $19.00/hour

Shift: 8am – 4:30pm

Major Responsibilities

• Maintain company’s finances.
• Assist with preparation of bank reconciliations.
• Maintains the company’s general ledger..
• Establish office procedures relating to accounting and record keeping.
• Maintain information on company sales and profits.
• Approve and maintain supplies of company forms.
• Prepare monthly operating statements for the Controller and President.
• Maintain confidentiality of company records.
• Keep the Controller fully informed on the results of operations and any matter that comes to his/her attention that might affect the company.
• Prepare accounting, statistical and personnel reports as necessary for management.
• Any other duties assigned to them by management.

Skills And Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in accounting
• Responsible and reliable
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong computer software skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
