General Description of the Role
The Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator manages all export shipments including documentation and customs requirements ensuring they ship and arrive on time. They also manage all inbound shipments ensuring everything is in order for customs clearance and receipt. This position is located at our production facility in Grimsby, Ontario and reports to the Logistics Manager.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
Customer Orders
- Responsible for processing all export orders including booking freight forwarder and creating required documentation
- Responsible for processing weekly and month end depletion billings for offsite bailment warehouse sales
- Ensures all invoices are processed in a timely manner on the day after the goods are shipped from the warehouse or from depletion billing
- Creates/updates cross reference list in SAP of our stock keeping unit (SKU) numbers with our customers SKU numbers
- Enters customer pricing, price variance credits and debit memos into SAP as instructed by the Finance team
Logistics
- Tracks goods while they are en route to destinations, expediting shipments when necessary
- Arranges for necessary shipping documents and contacts customs to follow up on the release of inbound shipments
- Follows up with Campari plants to ensure replenishment goods arrive on schedule
- Daily processing of the goods receipt (GR) for incoming goods (pkg & bulk)
- Provides customs documentation as required (i.e. completed C6 and/or Proof of Export to the Customs Broker / supplier; commercial invoice etc.)
- Investigate reported shipping variances
- Responds to customer and/or shippers questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services
Administrative
- Scans and files all documents pertaining to goods and bulk liquids received
- Completes the month end close checklist
- Responds to customer complaints and enters tickets for quality control and/or plant follow-up
- Reviews and processes freight invoices for payment
- Provides on time reports regarding transportation and customs
- Provides sales order “perfect order” report
- Provides audit documentation as requested
- Completes import/export certificates of origin required by customers (CETA/ CUSMA / CUK etc.)
- Provides back up for other Customer Service representatives

Experience Required
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience with export orders and customs requirements
- Previous experience working with Consumer Packaged Goods (Alcoholic Beverage Industry preferred)
Education / Professional Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Diploma/degree in similar field is an asset
Skills
