Puglisevich is looking for an HR Advisor to join our team!
The Human Resource Advisor will provide strategic HR support and consultation to all areas of the business. They will oversee and assist in all staff employee activities including retention, job development, performance management to support the overall performance of the Company.
The Human Resource Advisor must have the ability to plan, coordinate and direct the activities of Managers/Supervisors along with working with external groups (clients, third party vendors, etc.) in order to build strong relationships and client engagement and retention. The position will have direct reports focused on various Human Resource functions.
What You?ll Do
As a key member of our client?s team, you will:
Talent acquisition of personnel (including souring, screening, interviewing, hiring and onboarding)
Identify recruitment strategies to locate and attract talent
Ensure applicant tracking system, files etc. are maintained and updated
Track employee training certificates, medicals & licenses
Conduct interviews with new/promoted employees & supervisors
Understand the capabilities and performance of rig personnel
Responsible for talent and performance management for rig personnel and developing succession plans
Hold periodic meetings with rig leadership to discuss and address individual and team performance
Identify top/lower performers and recommend career planning as appropriate
Good Knowledge of Canadian national and provincial labour and employment law
Ensure training and development plans are updated for backfill/replacement
Build channels of 2-way communication with rig personnel ? employee relations
Monitor and continually improve communication with offshore rig leadership to ensure efficient execution of rig business
Communicate policies and programs and ensure that work is carried out according to policy and procedure
Assist rig team in creating a safety culture & mindset
As needed, work with approved local, labour contractors to source talent
Reviews and approves payroll data to ensure accuracy of payments.
Other duties as required.
