What does your day look like at Edon?
Support Edon’s Managers with employee relations, including providing guidance on performance management and progressive discipline
Draft performance and termination letters
Maintain accurate and current human resource documentation
Assist with various HR project work
Develop and revise HR documentation as per Edon’s Quality Management System (QMS)
Liaise with lawyers on behalf of escalated HR issues
Assist with the development of HR programs and training materials
Creating human resources related communications content including human resources announcements
Keep current on Employment Standards and identify changes to employment practices
Develop and maintain positive relationships with Edon team members
Work with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Assist with HR related audits both internally and externally as requested
Other duties, relevant to the position as assigned
What do you need to succeed?
Holds an accredited post-secondary degree (Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Commerce) with a specialization in Human Resources; required
Previous 3 years of experience in an HR administrative role; preferred
Holds or working towards a CPHR designation; asset
Good knowledge of Alberta Labour Laws
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to respond to internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of HR
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with the ability to independently prioritize and multi-task
Ability to work in a fast paced, and changing corporate environment
Works independently yet strong HR team player
