The Document & Training Specialist role is an exciting and unique opportunity to work across all Marcon’s projects, supporting the teams with various project documents and training. The ideal candidate has a solid background in construction, strong attention to detail and has a passion for training people and helping others be successful. About the Role
Work with subject matter experts to create, illustrate, edit, and maintain print and on-line process user guides, procedures, on-line help, and other end-user documentation for a wide range of business processes (development, construction, quality, customer service, etc.)
Write, edit, and publish employee facing technical documents such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials, flyers, forms, and checklists
Develop and manage a “controlled document” process (version control, change management, electronic approval, release)
Own and lead Marcon Documentation Management System
Use process documentation and management software
Create written training materials, illustrations, presentations, and visual learning aids (posters, diagrams, manuals)
Assist with development of training videos and tutorials
Provide presentations to train people on procedures, new methods, etc.
About You
Degree, Certificate or Diploma in professional communications, English, or equivalent industry experience.
3+ years of relevant experience in technical communications and training
Ability to produce well-written materials for audiences with varying levels of literacy
Advanced-level Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Visio
A multi-tasker with strong attention to detail and excellent writing, editing, communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Strong teamwork qualities and the ability to work productively with minimal supervision
Experience in creating/manipulating graphics and screen shots
Use of content management system is preferred
