Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading, directing and developing a high performance team of unionized workers to optimize safety, product quality and productivity to achieve on-time delivery and total customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide daily leadership, direction and hands-on support for employees within the department to achieve maximum optimization of equipment and human resources.
- Constantly adjust priorities to daily changes in business demands
- Drive compliance with safety, quality and productivity goals in support of warehouse objectives
- Work closely with other departments to ensure all operations are running smoothly and provide assistance to other departments when required
- Coach and manage employee performance with emphasis on frequent communication and feedback. Administer progressive discipline when required
- Develop and maintain a respectful and positive work environment. Promote a high level of teamwork and engagement
- Approve employee time cards and ensure information is accurate for payroll processing deadlines
- Administration and application of the Collective Agreement and Company policies/procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
- Cross-departmental supervisory coverage

Skills and Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or the equivalent in related work experience
- 2 years of supervisory experience in warehouse, logistics or distribution
- Natural leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate and develop employees
- Excellent organizational and time management skills that allow you to juggle priorities and meet deadlines
- Sense of Urgency: Ability to execute plans and make things happen
- Resilience to stress: Ability to function calmly in a fast paced environment. Able to manage variables, make on-the-spot decisions, and have solutions ready to deal with the unexpected
- Personal Accountability: take ownership of work processes and their outcome
- Customer Service Oriented: You care about the quality of service you provide your customers and colleagues
- Experience supervising in a unionized environment
- Experience with GSuite (Google Docs, Sheets and Drive) and AS/400 an asset
