Reporting to the Manager – Cardiac Non-Invasive & Outpatient Services, the individual is required to perform adult and paediatric electrocardiogram (ECG). The Department offers a wide range of diagnostic Cardiology procedures for both inpatient and outpatient populations.
Rate of Pay: $27.30 per hour – $31.48 per hour
Qualifications
Successful completion of a Cardiovascular Technology program
Registered (or registration eligible) Technologist with Ontario Society of Cardiology Technologist (OSCT) or equivalent
Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course: BLS-HCP(C)
Minimum one (1) year of previous related experience
Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet Explorer, Outlook and Cardiac Information Databases
Ability to function independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and ability to manage change in a dynamic environment
Physically fit and able to perform duties required in this fast-paced position
Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s Mission, Vision and Values
Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
Immunizations Requirements:
Successful candidates will be required to complete a health review which includes providing vaccination records or proof of immunity against Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella(Chicken Pox). In addition candidates will need to provide documentation of Tuberculosis Skin testing and a completed COVID vaccine series (two vaccines).
