What is the day-to-day like?
While working with this team the Software Development Manager will be responsible for recommending short-term plans and trade-offs, deciding upon resource allocation, and project timelines to meet budget and schedule targets. The team will partner with other scrum teams in the SPS Technology organization.
Collaborate on team initiatives, ensuring team remains on track and accountable for commitments
Act as front-line management of 4-8 software and application development professionals
Partner with Senior Manager of Platform Development to define career development goals for the team. Encourage team to grow and mentor team members and guide individual contributors in their career development using the career plan defined with Director
Foster a strong team morale in a fast-paced, action-packed environment. Mentor within and outside of core team. Coordinate training and documentation materials across the department.
Work in concert with other development managers to make strategic decisions within the Core-Data and Dev Center teams
Provide Development and support representation for the Fulfillment technologies
Facilitate the adoption of new technology advancements
What experience and skills do you need?
Bachelor’s degree AND 5 years of experience or 8 years of experience without a degree
2 years of management experience
Proven success developing talent and demonstrated experience working through others to complete work and resolve issues
Experience with and ongoing development using Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines and AWS
