The work:
- Work as part of a team on audit engagements
- Perform review and compilation engagements
- Prepare financial statements and income tax returns, e.g. corporate, personal, trust and charity information returns
- Conduct financial and systems analysis
- Develop and sustain client relationships
- Assist with ongoing support for company projects as needed
- Prepare GST/HST and remittance filings
- Analyze and interpret accounting data
- Provide month-end support such as reporting, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, analysis, and summarizing monthly statements
- Assist with the assessment and documentation of procedures and processes to support effective internal controls over financial reporting
You have:
- Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or similar field of study
- Desire to pursue a CPA designation through industry
- Previous experience in finance or accounting is preferred but not required
- Intermediate to advanced level Excel skills and other Microsoft programs
- Familiar with boxed accounting platforms such as Quickbooks, Xero, and others
- Analytical, detail-oriented and able to take constructive criticism
- Keen & flexible, with excellent communication written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently as well as in a team,
- Must understand how to plan work to meet deadlines
- Quick learner! We have tools to get you started, but we don’t have all summer for you to figure it out
