The Opportunity:
We are currently searching for a Product Manager North America to join our team, based in Toronto. The Product Manager independently creates, manages and continuously refines the travel destination of Canada and the US. They will continuously develop a suitable and competitive product offering, by understanding the existing and emerging needs of our target guest segments and analyzing our competition. The product manager owns the product and price setup in our systems, selects suitable partners, drives negotiations of rates and specials and manages partner relationships to help our company and partners work effectively with each other.
What will you be doing?
Set expectations, systematically measures the partners’ performance and intervene in a timely and effective manner.
Support our sales team with successfully selling Canada and the US destinations our guests and our trip execution team.
Build the destinations from scratch for North America.
Source out vendors and create exciting tours that will be attractive to European and other North American guests
What we are looking for:
5+ years of Product/Destinaton Management experience in tourism, ideally for an international tour operator, specifically in building Canada and the Arctic.
An Expert in Canada and the Arctic as a destination and a network of vendors to connect with.
Proven success in building destinations and tours attracting travelers.
Ability to communicate clear objectives to marketing, sales and management to execute and roll-out desintations and tours.
Strong people and relationship building skills, enjoy communicating with people and have outstanding verbal and written communication skills. This entails emotional intelligence, assertiveness, listening, negotiation, presentation and ideally content writing skills.
