Applied Biological Materials Inc Looking for Human Resource Assistant I at Richmond, BC Full Time

Applied Biological Materials Inc. is a Vancouver-based biotech company that develops and markets research reagents to the life science community and the biotech industry. Considering our rapid business expansion, abm is currently looking for a Human Resource Assistant in the Finance Department to join our team! Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, you will assist in ensuring full cycle recruitment, onboarding, HRIS management and other general administrative tasks.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Supporting full cycle recruitment activities such as creating job postings, phone screens, conducting interviews, reference checks and coordinating coffee chats for both full-time and co-op students

Managing the HRIS system for the on and off-boarding process as well as conducting exit interviews

Completing grant applications and submit monthly claim forms

Responding and assisting with employee inquiries regarding company policies and benefits

Participating in the maintenance and streamlining of administrative protocols to support overall HR operations

Qualifications: shortlisted candidates will have the following experience:

A minimum of a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource

Previous industry or internship experience is an asset; experiencing working in any science industry is a bonus

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with BambooHR is preferred

Strong organization and time-management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to act as a liaison to both internal and external stakeholders

Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Able to multitask in a fast paced environment
