Estimator / Administrator / Drafting skills /material ordering
Background: We are a leading Multifamily framing company with 30 years of experience. We frame prefab wall panels ahead of time to add to the speed of the framing on our construction sites. We frame all over Canada. We are pioneering a new service to our customers of supplying connectors and lumber to our existing customer base. You will be part of supporting this new service. You will want to bring your entrepreneurial skills in helping us establish this new service in 090 Builders Group.
Responsibilities:
– Preform Take off on structural products and lumber.
– Assemble estimates for sale of structural products and lumber.
– Purchasing the materials after the sale has been made. Administrate the whole process from beginning to end. Quote to delivery on site and any customer service follow up required.
– possible receive training from MiTek on how to use their software. Cad/program experience can be helpful. Some carpentry experience may be helpful.
– Double check existing designs and layouts for accuracy and completeness.
– Communicate, in written and verbal form, to help resolve any design concerns as they arise with Customers, Building Officials, Sales staff, Contractors, Architects and Structural Engineers as required.
– may assist with job specifications and RFI’s (request for info) for future reference.
– use of your strong administration skills in other departments where needed
Requirements :
– Training on MiTek would be an asset.
– Must be able to accurately read and interpret Architectural and Structural blue prints.
– Must have strong math skills and a demonstrated capability for handling, organizing and interpreting construction related technical/design information.
Educational Qualifications
– Business Administration Diploma
– Formal training in CAD design software would be helpful.

– Reliable self-starter with a demonstrated ability to prioritize your efforts as required.
– An ability to maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards coworkers, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders while working in a fast-paced production setting.
Compensation:
