Acadia Broadcasting has an opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist, who will support specific HR initiatives and operational requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of HR activities, and will provide valued direction, service, support and advice to leadership and employees, support HR systems, as well as be proactive in promoting human resources best practices, policies, and procedures.

Supporting the Business with Analytics and Reporting: Partner with the business to provide key people measures and analytics to support better decision making and organizational strategy.
Recruitment: Manage a unique Candidate experience in the recruitment process, while building a pipeline for talent.
Onboarding: Create an exceptional employee experience by preparing and executing an onboarding and orientation to the company in partnership with hiring managers.
Employee Relations: Work with managers and employees on day-to-day circumstances that require HR leadership and support.
Compliance: Ensure compliance to operational requirements under the Canada Labour Code, including coordinating the Employment Equity program, and stay current with legislative changes as they impact the business.
Annual Calendar of Commitments: Including employee surveys, quarterly development agreements, quarterly and annual reporting, benefit renewals, service awards, compensation reviews, and service recognition events.

Skills and Attributes:
- A passion for HR with a clear understanding to its role within a company’s strategy.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Sound research and business analytic skills.
- Creative thinker and problem solver.
- Ability to prioritize deliverables and work independently or within a team.
- Organized and knowledgeable of administrative procedures.
- Understands and appreciate the need for confidentiality.
- Expert knowledge of MS office.
- Previous experience with an HRIS system.
The successful candidate will have the right blend of education and experience, which may include an undergraduate degree, 5+ years’ experience in a Human Resources, and an CPHR designation.
