Access Property Development Looking for Construction Administrative Assistant – Summer Intern at Toronto, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Established in 2004, Access Property Development has been developing, constructing, and maintaining quality storage facilities for 15 years. Overseeing more then 200 properties across Canada, APD has provided a consistently high level of service while also cultivating beneficial relationships with established trade partners. As one of the first companies to offer the services of a fully in-house construction company, APD can control up to 50% of storage construction costs by providing a fully Licensed HVAC and Electrical division along with in-house Locker installation and Project Management Services.

The Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Construction Administrative Assistant Intern for the summer. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry, focusing on administrative tasks essential for project success. The ideal candidate will assist in various administrative duties, supporting project managers and the construction team in delivering high-quality projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with updating the standard, archives, and resources list
• Support the preparation of project reports, presentations, and meeting agendas.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of administrative tasks.
• Perform office administrative duties including but not limited to data entry, filing, sorting, and photocopying
• Other duties as assigned
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and organized work environment on construction sites.

Skillset:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program, such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
• Enthusiasm for learning and a willingness to take on new challenges in a dynamic work environment.
