Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping AccurateHD to plan, administer and report on important functions, including recruitment, retention, compensation, payroll and benefits. The Human Resources Generalist will also provide support to the Health & Safety department in the areas of administration and orientation facilitation.
Job Requirements:
· 3-5 Years’ Experience working in a Human Resources Department – Generalist experience is considered an asset.
· Post-Secondary diploma/degree in Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
· 2-3 Years’ Experience in full-cycle recruitment
· Thorough understanding of HR Legislation; Construction Industry knowledge/experience is considered an asset, but is not a requirement
· Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Powerpoint
· Experience in Payroll and Benefits Administration
· Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Self-Motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Willingness and ability for continual growth and development
Job Duties / Responsibilities:
· Consult and work with Senior Management, Superintendents and Foreman with full cycle staffing and recruitment process, including determining staffing requirements, prescreen and in-person interviews, assisting with hiring decisions and presenting formal offers of employment
· Manage the vacation booking/vacation request process
· Provide back-up support to Payroll in payroll processing
· Provide back-up support to the Benefits Administrator
· Provide administrative report to Health & Safety in the areas of WCB claims/injury paperwork, and other duties as assigned
· Coordinate and facilitate New Hire Health & Safety Orientation
· Assist Senior Management in the organization and management of both the Probationary and Annual salary/wage increase process – including tracking new hire probation dates
· Provide administrative support for legislated leaves, such as Sick Leave, Parental, and other Leaves of Absence.
· Support Management, Superintendents and Foremen through the disciplinary/termination process
· Support Management, Superintendents and Foremen through the annual Performance Review Process
· Other duties as assigned
