As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Exhaust is seeking an eager and enthusiastic Logistics & Customs Coordinator to join our successful Toronto team immediately. We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills.
Position Overview:
The Logistics & Customs Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of logistics and customs, specifically with regards to supply management principles, and facilitating the supply chain operations of our company. You will be responsible to coordinate and process to achieve the effective distribution of goods and services with a focus on a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.
This position will report to the Logistics & Customs Manager.
What you will be doing:
- Provide freight quotes to various departments
- Work with customs brokers and carriers to resolve day-to-day operational issues
- Review supplier invoices for adherence to established guidelines
- Review customs documents for the accuracy of tariff classification, valuation, origin, and tariff treatment and file amendments/refunds as needed
- Perform import/export matching for drawback claims
- Solicit FTA certificates from vendors, review for accuracy, and update systems
- Support costing & NPI teams with the country of origin and FTA qualification information
- Monitor LTL & ocean transportation to provide updates to key stakeholders
- Maintain detailed ocean rate quote tracking log
- Prepare customs documents and freight advice for RMA shipments
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
What you bring along:
- Degree/Diploma/Designation in in a related field (CSCP, CLTD, CCLP, CIFFA)
- CSCB Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Trade Compliance Specialist (CTCS)
- Excellent communications skills with an understanding of both internal and external customer/vendor needs
- Ability to respond appropriately in high-pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor
- Highly organized and able to undertake and prioritize a multitude of tasks in a demanding environment
- Highly analytical and meticulous
- Strong attention to detail, highly efficient and effective time management skills
- Written and verbal fluency in English
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
