Python Developer

Location: Toronto, Ontario – Hybrid-Remote

Overview: Adapptable is seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our partner’s dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in Python development and will collaborate with the team on a large-scale project. While the position is currently hybrid remote, we are open to considering fully remote arrangements for exceptional candidates currently located outside of the Toronto area.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the development team to design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and systems.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices.
• Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.
• Debugging and troubleshooting issues to ensure the performance, security, and reliability of our applications.
• Collaborating with the Lead Python Developer and Project Manager to meet goals and deadlines.
• Keeping up to date with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve your skills.
• Providing mentorship to junior team members and participating in knowledge-sharing sessions.

Qualifications:

• 3-7 years of experience in Python development.
• Proficiency in Python programming and a strong understanding of Python libraries and frameworks.
• Experience with web development frameworks such as Django or Flask is a plus.
• Knowledge of database management systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
