Responsibilities:
LOCATION
ONSITE: This is an on-site role as the hiring team will require the student to work in the Markham office throughout the entire duration of the co-op work term. COVID-19 protocols are being strictly followed.
PROGRAM TERM
- This role is a 4–month position
- Summer 2023: Start Date May 1, 2023 – August 25, 2023
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be directly involved on supporting Gaming and Open Source Developer Libraries for Virtual Reality, Spatial Audio, and Multimedia for various projects during their work term.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Main duties are catered to the interests and abilities of the student. They may include:
- Resolve customer, quality, and certification issues
- Validate functionality for upcoming hardware platforms
- Design and develop test applications to validate hardware and software functionality and quality assurance programs
- Active participation in code and design reviews
- Execution of tasks assigned by senior technical staff and manager

REQUIREMENTS
- Software Development experience
- Programming Languages: C++, C and proficient in OOP design & development
- Operating Systems: Windows, Linux
- Gaming development experience is an asset
- Optional but preferred: Knowledge of Direct3D, OpenGL, OpenCL
- Optional: Knowledge of video encoding and audio processing algorithms
- Experience on Microsoft Visual Studio
