Aerotek Looking for Construction Labourer at British Columbia Full Time

We are looking for Construction Labourers for a project at Buntzen Lake with Sandblasting and/or industrial coating/painting experience.

Shifts will be 12 hours and will be physically demanding.

You will be assisting with the recoating of a 1 km long, 12′ diameter pipe.

Pipe is 50% flat and 50% on a downward slope.

You will be sandblasting off the existing coating, cleaning up that old coating with shovels, brooms, and industrial vacuums, and applying the new coating.-

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of construction labour experience

• 2+ years of Sandblasting experience

• 2+ years of Coating/industrial painting experience

• Ability to get to site (Vehicle) – site is not transit accessible

• Able to lift 50 lbs repetitively

• Good communication skills

Nice to Have Experience:

• 5+ years of Sandblasting/Coating experience

• Experience operating a Telehandler

• Leadership experience

• Lead Awareness Training

Work Environment:

Shift: 6am – 6pm, 12 hour shifts

Rotational schedule – 3 weeks on, 1 week off

Lots of OT – OT after 8 hours a day and after 40 hours a week

Project is located at Buntzen Lake in Anmore, just north of Port Moody

Project will be physical and dirty

Pay Rate:

$30/hr – $35/hr

PPE Required:

• Steel Toe Work Boots

• Hard Hat

• High-Vis Vest
