The Finance branch within the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) have an exciting opportunity for a student to join the Workplace Services team in an inventory and data management role. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is able to work collaboratively, is results oriented and strives for continuous improvement. This role is expected to provide support to both the inventory management tasks and the rest of the Workplace Services team, working on various projects and initiatives as required.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize Inventory Management processes for all AER Real Estate Facilities, Safety and Fleet.

• Work to ensure inventories are up to date and entered into Archibus Software system.

• Report on inventory values, useful-life, and quantities.

• Analyze all workplace asset inventories and provide options to right size as required.

• Participate in space decommissioning activities to support inventory management.

• Planning and execution for asset inventory related initiatives as required (i.e. Insurance renewal).

• Optimize team documentation and file management in SharePoint and Teams sites, and other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in Facilities Management/Finance/Project Management/Business programs at an accredited post-secondary institution.

• Excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking, and attention to detail.

• Proficient in using the Microsoft suite of tools, particularly Excel and SharePoint

• Knowledge or experience with Archibus Software is an asset.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Additional Requirements and Information:

• This position is a full-time summer student position which is expected to last approximately 4 months.

• Proof of enrollment in a registered institution and returning to studies following this placement will be a condition of hire.

• All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada at the time of application.
