We are currently hiring positions to work with the hospitalist team, general internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, surgery, cardiology, respirology, or family medicine hospitalist.
This is an alternate provider role in which the successful candidate will obtain a limited medical license issued from the College of Physician and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) and will work under the direction of a supervising physician within a multidisciplinary team setting to deliver acute patient care. Required Qualifications:
Legal Status: Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or a landed immigrant OR will hold a valid work permit at the time of application. Medical Degree: Applicants must be a graduate of a medical school located outside of Canada and the United States, listed in the Foundation of Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) International Medical Directory (IMED). Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME): As a requirement for licensure by the CPSA, applicants must have completed at least one full year (i.e.: May 1st to April 30th) of hands-on training after having obtained his/her medical degree. Clinical Experience: Preference will be given to applicants who have recent experience in an acute care facility; specifically, those who have had specific experience within the last 3 years. 5English Language Proficiency: As a requirement for licensure by the CPSA, applicants must have taken the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) in Canada with minimum required scores of 7.0 in each of the components within 24 months prior to registration.
