AHS has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Media Technician on our Digital Media Services (DMS) team. Our team of professionals have the diverse technical, artistic, analytical, production and project management skills to produce education, instructional, simulation and promotional videos, and to support meeting and conference events, technology adoption and evaluation projects, and manage a digital signage service. The successful DMS Technician will maintain a growing provincial network of digital signage configurations and content sources. A thorough understanding of and experience with implementing digital signage systems is required to design, scale and maintain services for our unique client needs. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with interdisciplinary stakeholders at all levels of the organization to design solutions for digital content requirements. Solid interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills are essential to interface and work with our customers to conduct site assessments, lead online meetings and demonstrations, and train system users on the customization, scheduling and monitoring of content. Experience using content creation applications is required to design templates and support users with developing static and dynamic content. Demonstrating independence and initiative, the Technician will use their natural problem solving, planning and prioritization skills to test and evaluate various technologies for ongoing service improvement, assist with installations and requests for technical support, develop and manage service documentation and user resources, and liaise with other AHS teams and departments on projects. Based out of Calgary, the Digital Media Technician will benefit from a flexible hybrid remote work schedule that balances the need for travel to AHS sites for client consults and service delivery.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of certificate in Computer Support or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Diploma, or equivalent years of service in a TV, video or multi-media production related field. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with deploying and working with audio visual, multi-media and video recording technology and related peripherals, including display technologies, digital and video cameras, sound/mixing boards, and photography. Two (2) years’ experience utilizing digital media software and applications for video and still image creation, editing and graphic design; particularly MS PowerPoint and Adobe software – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro, and After Effects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum five (5) years’ experience with professional familiarity using online meeting and collaboration tools like Skype, MS Teams, Zoom, WebEx, etc. Experience integrating digital signage into a healthcare setting or large organization. Flexible to work on site and from home. Ability to occasionally lift between 10-30kg of media equipment and transport to site.
