The BI Practice at Alithya has been rapidly expanding and is about to enter the next phase of growth. We are looking for a Director – BI Delivery who could contribute to the growing needs of our BI Practice in Canada.
Reporting into the BI Leadership (Director – BI&AI Practice), the incumbent will lead a team focused on creating a business intelligence strategy for our key clients.
- Ensure quality delivery of BI solutions to our clients;
- Manage large-scale projects and programs;
- Support the sales team and participate in the pre-sales of our BI services;
- Stay abreast of global BI trends and implement action plans to develop Alithya’s future capabilities;
- Understand customer business needs and shape their requirements into concrete BI deliverables for the delivery team;
- Partner with multiple business and IT stakeholders to define BI strategies and roadmaps;
- Cultivate relationships with external thought leaders to explore new and innovative ways to deliver Alithya’s BI solutions;
- Mentor (coach) and engage our junior consultants to better leverage their talents;
- Develop long-lasting, value-based relationships with clients by providing unparalleled customer service and BI solutions.

Does this sound like you?
- Experience:
- in management with multiple direct reports on a BI team;
- in delivering and leading complex BI projects (proven);
- in formulating a long-term BI strategy for a client;
- negotiating scope, budget or schedule changes with clients;
- identifying BI project milestones, critical success factors, risks and resource requirements (demonstrated);
- in the middle market (preferred);
- in agile development environments.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate BI solutions to an executive audience;
- Knowledge of recent advances in BI technology and their applicability to solving business problems;
- Key skills:
- High personal resilience, flexibility and adaptability;
- Effective in managing key stakeholders to ensure their commitment and alignment to BI delivery plans;
- Ability to manage ambiguity and work in a fast-paced environment;
- Leadership skills;
- Ability to manage and get the most out of a team;
- Results-driven, quality assurance and critical thinking to improve work methods and performance.
