We’re looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to help us change the way the world works. Here, as a bright and tough, experienced yet always learning IT professional, you’ll be responsible for a functional decomposition of legacy systems into cloud-native solutions

THE ROLE:

• Functionally decompose 15…25 years old monolithic systems into microservices and vertical serverless
• Replace homebuilt “systems” with industry-standard enterprise COTS platforms and cloud services
• Take no shortcuts and settle on no “MVPs” – design clean, scalable, efficient
• Be an authority in applying best practices and modern approaches to cloud enablement
• Help eliminating functional redundancy of business-enabling systems on enterprise level
• Help driving cultural change from on-premises focus to cloud-native

YOU:

• Current certification “AWS Certified Solution Architect – Professional”
• Bachelors in computer science as a minimum, Masters preferred
• 7 years of continuous experience as a cloud solutions architect
• At least 10 years of experience in business and system analysis
• At least 10 years of experience in software design and delivery
• Well-versed in broad landscape of technologies
• Masterful communicator, bringing business and technology stakeholders together
• Visualization and writing master, translating complex problems into simple concepts

The following are not required, though definitely nice to have:

• TOGAF or equivalent enterprise-level architecture certification
• Intellectual maturity and mental stability when dealing with transformational efforts
• No-nonsense attitude and good sense of humor (dark one fits this job best)
• Be agnostic to tools, and very clear about fundamental concepts
• Be experienced, confident, pulling hard and playing fair
