Allwyn’s Jerk (Pickering) Looking for Food Service Associate at Pickering, ON Full Time

Allwyn’s Jerk is a family owned Caribbean Take-out chain of fast food restaurant with its new location in Pickering, Ontario. Looking to hire a Full Time staff to join our small and friendly crew to provide additional support during the day to day service.

Job Title: Food Service Associate

Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years kitchen experience or in the food industry.

Duties include:

• Food Prep and packaging.
• Chopping and cutting of jerk chicken/pork.
• Prepping vegetables in the kitchen when required.
• Greeting customers and help determine their order.
• Taking walk-in food orders and serving customers.
• Manage take out orders from uber/phone orders.
• Help package food/drink orders in appropriate bags and boxes.
• Clean and arrange eating, services and kitchen space.
• accurately process credit card payments, accepting cash payments and making change, using a point of sale (POS) system for transactions.
• Relay customers’ order to kitchen staff and help kitchen staff when needed.
• Re-stock of condiments and other supplies for customer and store use.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Accurate cash handling.
• Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Hourly Pay Rate:

• $15.50 to start PLUS very generous tips.

Store hours of operation:

Monday – Friday (11am to 9pm)

Saturday & Sunday (11am to 8pm)

Expected Start Date: May 24th, 2022.**__

Full time hours: 40 hours per week.

This role can also lead to employee working as a Cook/Prep Cook if employee wants the experience. __
