A large company working in the health field, our client is looking for a person with a developed political and creative sense to act as a senior advisor in public affairs. Reporting to the Director of Public Affairs and Communications, the person will be responsible for analyzing public affairs issues in the network, leading communications campaigns and contributing to the management of media relations.
Responsibilities
• Manage media relations;
• Analyze the issues for the company: propose orientations and implement public affairs and communication strategies aimed at maintaining/ increasing the reputation and credibility of the company;
• Draft or coordinate the production of briefing papers, proposals, reports and other documents related to issues (speeches, briefs, letters, press releases, etc.);
• Collaborate in the monitoring of public and political affairs;
• Contribute to the management, animation and monitoring of social media on a daily basis.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in communication/ political science or equivalent;
• Minimum of 7 years of experience, including 5 years in a similar position;
• Experience in crisis management;
• Excellent knowledge of social media;
• Fluency in French and good knowledge of English (written and oral);
• Mastery of Microsoft Office 365 software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.);
• Knowledge and experience in the health system (an asset);
• Experience in a political cabinet (an asset);
• Frequent availability outside regular hours.
