As the leader of a human resources management team, you will be responsible for optimizing the human resources function to support the achievement of set business objectives.

The Director of Human Resources- Ontario, ensures that HR strategies and programs are aligned with business objectives of the organization and the business units for which you are responsible for. You will partner between the company and other human resource functions to align the design and implementation of programs and services to meet the needs of the growing organization.

What you’re responsible for:

• Having a strategic and result-oriented approach to providing solutions for all HR functions.
• Being an active contributor within a management team that is capable of facilitating change, driving new initiatives and managing projects.
• Partnering closely with leaders throughout the organization to provide coaching and guidance in all employee relation initiatives.
• Setting the HR direction for AIM’s Head Office and Ontario operational sites (Industrial and Recycling businesses client group 600 employees).
• Developing and supervising human resource professionals in the execution of human resource procedures in order to achieve organizational performance objectives.
• Reviewing HR policies and procedures to ensure organizational alignment.
• Planning workforce needs in collaboration with managers and talent acquisition team.
• Supporting compensation activities, including salary planning, annual adjustment, internal movements and job review.
• Coordinating the performance evaluation process and the annual salary review cycle.
• Implementing key performance indicators and appropriate action plans to improve performance.
• Preparing and reporting to senior management using business metrics and KPIs.

To join our team:

• University Degree in human resources or a related field. A master’s degree in a discipline related to human resources, an asset.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. provincial & state labour laws.
• Availability for occasional travel (20%)
