Apex Aluminum Extrusions Ltd. is a state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion factory located in Langley, British Columbia. Production of aluminum profiles began in early 2011, making Apex the most recent addition to the aluminum extrusion market. With a 170,000 square foot facility and some of the most modern equipment in its industry, we believe in the extensive use of technology and in the ongoing investment and development of our processes and people.
As a market leader, we are always on the lookout for exceptionally talented individuals to join our team. Currently we require a next level player to join our Paintline as an Electrostatic Painter. Our goal is to strive for perfection and to provide the quality our customers deserve!
Job Summary:
As an Electrostatic Painter, your responsibilities and duties include:
Utilize instrumentation to measure painting parameters to ensure compliance with OEM specifications
Reading & completing work orders
Sanding and preparation of surfaces to be painted
Hanging profiles and parts
Picking/prepping stock for paint and/or distribution
Utilize instrumentation to measure painting parameters to ensure compliance with OEM specifications
Applying paint in the desired color and amount, using hand held electrostatic spray guns
Ensuring the quality of the job is up to company standards and customer requirements
Maintaining a clean work environment including the work area and equipment
Packaging coated products for shipping.
Inventory tracking.
Assist in other parts of the plant including loading/unloading as required.
Communicate clearly and timely with the Lead-hand about job specific issues or requirements.
Detail oriented and able to follow a process to completion
Experience:
One-year experience desired;but we are willing to train the right person
Fundamental knowledge of concepts in electrostatic procedures
Experience with air assisted/airless/electrostatic hand held spray guns in a booth required
Knowledge of painting with pressure pots is an asset.
Capable of reading and writing in English
Able to safely lift to 50lbs
First aid and forklift certifications are an asset
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots required (CSA approved). All other necessary PPE will be fitted and supplied
Work Site: Manufacturing environment
