The Strategic Account Management team is responsible for the overall success and ongoing healthy relationship of a limited number of key accounts at Applied Systems. The team is comprised of VP level Client Executives who serve as the primary partner and contact to their assigned clients. The CE’s primary function is to ensure the successful implementation, adoption and optimization of Applied’s products and services and meet the highest levels of customer satisfaction in order to preserve and grow these key accounts.
What You Will Do
Work with client/stakeholder contacts for assigned accounts to identify and determine goals, objectives, and business needs and formulate a roadmap for how the Applied partnership can help achieve those goals
Lead quarterly Customer Business Reviews (CBR)
Operate as a trusted business advisor by helping clients see beyond the needs they have today into what they should be looking at for the future, based on industry and technology trends
Work with client contacts in performing discovery to define opportunities and identify both competitive and attrition risks
Act as a conduit between assigned accounts and Applied to understand the identified goals/objectives and leverage internal partnerships to enable efficient solutions to clients’ needs:
Partners with the Director Corporate Sales and assigned Client Partner on opportunities to expand product footprint, increase usage across the account’s user base, and optimize usage within existing usage base.
Utilize available system reports, dashboards, and metrics to confirm customer goal or objective attainment or determine the gap so that further measures to reaching the goal or objective can be identified and implemented
Collaborate with Product Management, Quality Assurance, Support, Cloud Services and Info Security as needed on behalf of the account to address product gaps, quality issues, challenges with product support, compliance needs, and system up time
Work with Marketing to identify and buildout reference points within assigned accounts including but not limited to case studies, joint industry presentations, product release videos / testimonies
Partner with Sales Operations in the buildout and ongoing maintenance of Applied System’s chosen CRM and collaboration platforms to support both the sales and account management functions
Oversees the capture and availability of customer information within Applied System’s chosen CRM and collaboration platforms
What You Will Need to Be Successful
Remote Opportunity: Ability to work 100% remotely, or from an Applied Systems office
Must have:
A background working in a client facing role
2+ years Sr. Manager, Director, or VP level experience and developing key enterprise accounts
Understands Key Performance Indicators including key financial performance indicators, how they relate to each other, what they say about the business opportunities within a given customer, and how they relate to customer success
Proven experience interacting with operational, technical, and executive roles within a customer across multiple accounts
Exceptional negotiation skills as demonstrated through past sales, account management, or product management experience
Intermediate to Advanced MS Word and MS Excel skills
Able to learn and understand software programs and technology quickly
Able to identify business issues and needs quickly to both formulate recommendations/responses and advocate internally for the customer
Must be available to travel up to 75%
Desired Skills (but not required):
Experience with broker management system implementations and optimizations
Functional understanding of insurance agency operations across both servicing and producer roles
Understands Applied Systems’ product functionality
Education: Bachelor’s degree
