We are looking for Servers to join the Ascari King West team!
Location: 620 King Street West, Toronto, Ontario
Ascari Hospitality Group is a restaurant and event company based in Toronto and named after 1950’s Formula One racing legend Alberto Ascari (who was equally famous for his appetite as he was for his talented racing).
The group comprises three full-service restaurants – Ascari Enoteca, Ascari King West, Gare de L’Est Brasserie; our boutique bottle shop Mercatino E Vini and a full-service events company. Our ethos is entrenched in food, wine, and good people, which is evident in our carefully selected offerings, and genuine hospitality.

Overview
As a server at Ascari King, you are responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests by possessing thorough product knowledge, embodying warm hospitality, and anticipating and meeting guests’ needs.
Reports to
General Manager directly, as well as all other managers at Ascari King
Areas of Responsibility
- Exceed guest expectations by creating a positive dining experience for each and every guest, through genuine and attentive service
- Anticipate guests’ service needs by responding positively to guests’ questions and requests, including any concerns or issues
- Ensure assigned section remains clean and organized
- Complete opening, closing, and side-duties efficiently and fully
- Accurately relay orders to the kitchen using the POS system
- Be diligent of guest special requests, including allergies and aversions
- Ensure ongoing communication with the whole team to ensure an overall guest dining experience
- Attend food and wine training and show desire for continuous learning
Skills and Qualifications
- At least 2 years serving experience in a similar environment
- Knowledge of Ascari King cuisine and wine is an asset
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
- Organizational skills and strong sales ability
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with guests and colleagues
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Smart Serve Certification is a requirement
- A Degree/ Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent is considered an asset
