Job Title: KYC Analyst
Location: Toronto, Canada (In Person)

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented KYC Analyst to join our team in Toronto. As a KYC Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth customer due diligence and performing Know Your Customer (KYC) checks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive KYC reviews on new and existing customers, including individuals and corporate entities, to identify and verify their identities.
Perform risk assessments and analysis based on customer information and transactional activities.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather required documentation and information for KYC purposes.
Analyze and interpret complex legal and financial documents to assess customer profiles and identify potential risks.
Utilize various databases, screening tools, and external sources to conduct checks on customers.
Stay updated on relevant regulatory requirements and changes to ensure compliance with KYC/AML regulations.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of KYC activities, ensuring proper documentation and audit trail.
Escalate any potential red flags or suspicious activities to the appropriate teams for further investigation.
Collaborate with other teams, such as Compliance and Risk, to implement and improve KYC processes and procedures.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a KYC Analyst or in a similar role within the financial industry.
Strong knowledge of KYC/AML regulations and best practices, particularly in the Canadian context.
Familiarity with relevant regulatory bodies such as the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC).
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and make sound decisions.
Proficient in using KYC tools, databases, and screening software.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently under tight deadlines
