Position Overview
The General Manager position leads an AutoCanada store, overseeing New and Used Sales, Finance Department, and Fixed Ops departments which includes Service, Parts, and Collision. This role drives the performance of the store by attracting, developing, and retaining great talent and creating an exceptional buying and ownership experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all dealership departments, including sales, service, parts, and finance.
- Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
- Foster a customer-centric culture, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of automotive professionals.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Oversee inventory management, pricing strategies, and vehicle merchandising.
- Collaborate with manufacturer representatives and maintain strong relationships to optimize dealership performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, dealership policies, and ethical business practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Manager within the automotive industry.
- Have a history of outstanding success in a high-volume dealership
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with a focus on achieving results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive dealership operations, including sales, service, and finance.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive business success.
- Proficient in using dealership management systems and related software.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships
- Lead high functioning teams through coaching, mentoring and accountability
