Position Overview
ProEst is a cloud-based cost estimating solution and a key component of of Autodesk’s preconstruction offering. ProEst helps estimators create competitive bids to win work. We are looking for a Software Development Manager to empower our team of engineers, provide technical and process guidance, and foster an environment of continuous improvement. Location: Remote in North America (Canada or United States)

Responsibilities
You will manage a diverse engineering team across multiple time zones
You will collaborate closely with Product and Design peers to guide the direction of the product
Provide technical and process guidance to support the development team
Coach and mentor team members to support their professional growth and to strengthen the team
Build and foster a team environment that encourages honesty, collaboration, accountability, healthy debate and growth
Contribute technically to the team when needed by writing and reviewing code, validating technical plans and helping to guide technical discussions
We are looking for someone who can communicate team progress and challenges to stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field
5+ years of software development experience
2+ years of software development management experience
Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, React and Node.js
Familiarity with building cloud based solutions, including aspects of CI/CD, scalability, security, resilience and observability
Proficiency with Agile methodologies
Experience working with and empowering development teams to solve challenging technical problems
Solid understanding of all phases of software development
Open availability for on-call support when needed
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing software projects or teams with stakeholders across different time zones
Experience in handling customer incidents
Experience with AWS, Postgres (or other DB technologies), and Docker

Responsabilités
Vous allez gérer une équipe d’ingénierie diversifiée dans plusieurs fuseaux horaires
Vous allez collaborer étroitement avec vos homologues du secteur des produits et de la conception pour orienter l’orientation du produit
Vous allez fournir des conseils techniques et de processus pour soutenir l’équipe de développement
Vous accompagnerez et conseillerez les membres de l’équipe pour soutenir leur développement professionnel et renforcer l’équipe
Vous allez créer et favoriser un environnement d’équipe qui favorise l’honnêteté, la collaboration, la responsabilité, un débat sain et la croissance
Vous apporterez une contribution technique à l’équipe lorsque cela est nécessaire en écrivant et en révisant le code, en validant les plans techniques et en aidant à orienter les discussions techniques
Nous recherchons une personne capable de communiquer aux parties prenantes les progrès réalisés par l’équipe et les défis rencontrés
Exigences minimales
Baccalauréat en ingénierie logicielle, en informatique ou dans un domaine connexe
Au moins 5 ans d’expérience en développement de logiciels
Au moins 2 ans d’expérience en développement de logiciels
Maîtrise de Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, React et Node.js
Connaissance de la construction de solutions basées sur le nuage, notamment des aspects de CI/CD, de l’évolutivité, de la sécurité, de la résilience et de l’observabilité
Maîtrise des méthodologies Agile
Expérience de la collaboration avec des équipes de développement et de l’autonomisation de celles-ci pour résoudre des problèmes techniques complexes.
Compréhension approfondie de toutes les phases de développement logiciel
Disponibilité ouverte pour l’assistance sur demande, le cas échéant
Compétences souhaitées

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $169,400 and $273,900. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
